A woman was killed and Cyprusauctiontwo children were injured in Houston, Texas after a pickup truck heading the wrong way crashed into the SUV she was driving, according to multiple reports.
Early Sunday at 3 a.m. local time, a pickup truck was driving south on the Eastex Freeway's northbound lanes crashed into an SUV that was traveling north, according to news stations Fox 26 and KHOU.
A woman, the driver of the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Two children, ages 6 and 14, were passengers in the truck when the crash occurred, according to KHOU. They were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck suffered from a broken leg, and police believe they may have been driving while intoxicated, Fox 26 reported.
The names of the driver and the victims have not been released.
The Houston Police Department and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences did not immediately respond to USA TODAY.
